Warm, Wise Storyteller:
speaking your truth ~ moving your audience
It is impossible to watch TV without hearing narration–it is everywhere. Michael’s voice / voice print fit best with shows on these channels: Discovery, History, A&E, National Geographic, Nat Geo Wild, Science, TLC, Smithsonian, PBS, American Heroes, Animal Planet, Destination America, Military History, Travel, Crime & Investigation, etc.
Each of these channels requires a voice with some authority, gravitas, and strength that can blend with warmth and a romantic feel–Michael’s voice and delivery fills that need perfectly.
For TV, it is less “voice over” than “voice under”: the narration component is there to highlight and support the video/music/sound effects components of the show. Listen to Michael’s TV Narration demo and hear how he sets up what will happen next or is happening now in the show’s visual component in examples of shows you might see on the Discovery, History, TLC, and similar channels. Then, contact Michael and let him lend his professional male voice acting talent to your show to captivate and entertain your viewers.
Medical narration falls, broadly, into two categories: (1) patient centered, and; (2) provider centered. Michael’s voice and delivery are warm and reassuring for patients but authoritative and knowledgeable for providers. He brings his own background an allied medical provider to the mix: he holds a PhD in clinical psychology, is licensed as a psychologist, had maintained a private practice for many years, and has published original research in medical and healthcare journals including Biological Psychiatry, Journal of Family Practice, FamilyMedicine, and the Encyclopedia of Child Behavior and Development.
While working on his PhD, he also taught resident and attending MDs and medical students at the Medical College of Georgiain the Dept. of Family Medicine. As such, he understands the needs of medical and healthcare personnel at all levels in terms of learning needs and adjusts his voice over style to fit the audience well. All his experience gives Michael an excellent grasp of medical and pharmaceutical terminology and concepts–the heart of any Medical narration.
Medical narration is not easy and requires the narrator to understand and deliver medical concepts and use medical terms with great facility. Listen to Michael’s medical demo as he demonstrates his ability with medical terminology in a provider-centered piece, for hospital (The Mayo Clinic) branding–a patient centered piece, and an interactive spot in which Michael plays the role of a physician. Michael can narrate your Medical or Pharmaceutical project with ease and efficiency. Contact him and let him help you make your Medical project a success.
